The Help Desk Associate will be the main point of contact for Optime employees when they have technical issues and need assistance with the use of our internal platform. This professional will offer support and technical assistance regarding software, hardware, or other computer systems issues through diagnostic tests and remote access to computers.
  • Responding to queries via chat, email, or phone regarding the use of our internal platform.
  • Training employees and new hires on our internal platform.
  • Providing technical assistance for questions and problems and escalating requests as necessary.
  • Resolving problems with networks and other computer systems.
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
  • Configure, monitor, and maintain email applications or virus protection software.
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
  • Load computer tapes and disks, and install software and printer paper or forms.
  • Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.
  • Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
  • Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering or higher engineering degree in IT.
  • Must be Bilingual. English and Spanish speaker.
  • Basic knowledge in computer network management is required
  • Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
  • Experience managing end-client networks.
  • Proactive, energetic, organized, customer focused self-motivated and dynamic personality.
  • Capability of working under pressure, meet deadlines and mange project details while balancing multiple priorities
  • Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Workstation Operating Systems and Applications
  • General knowledge in managing Microsoft Server Operating Systems and Networks
  • Windows Server
