As an Automation Manager you will be responsible for directing the daily operations of assigned departments, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines.  Qualified candidate will meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, clients, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems. 
Duties & Tasks
  • Assisting and reviewing development of project scopes, considering resources, and technological constraints including cost estimates.
  • Defining project scope and giving clear instructions to design and development team.
  • Clarifying and communicating project objectives and success criteria to team.
  • Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
  • Assuring that projects are completed according to schedule and within budget.
  • Effectively applying our methodology and enforcing project standards.
  • Ensuring that project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Confers with CEO and other administrative personnel to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives.
  • Collaborating with developers, and other parties involved to establish the vision and analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Ensuring that approved requirements are developed in sufficient scope and detail.
  • Attending client meetings as required.
  • Assisting with developing quality assurance processes, documentation, and testing where needed.
  • Identifying and managing project risk.
  • Maintaining awareness of the current industry environment that shapes opportunities for client solutions and the growth of Optime.
Skills & Experience
  • The ideal candidate must possess solid knowledge of physical and logical database design, schema design principles with demonstrated aptitude to apply best practices for scalable designs and influence programmers, development methodologies and performance benchmarking.
  • This person must be fully bilingual. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English and Spanish languages. Portuguese is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software application.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • 2 years or plus RDBMS experience
  • At least 3-5 or plus years as a specific MYSQL DBA and MYSQL Cluster 5x in a LAMP environment working with LINUX, symphony and PHP.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing
  • 2 plus years of UNIX/LINUX background
  • Proficiency in a scripting language
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
  • Experience in scheduling workload.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Project Management certification is a plus.
  • Master IS/IT Management is a plus.
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner preferred
