As a VMWare system engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing and supporting optime’s VMWare infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be able to monitor system operations, do life-cycle and asset management, vendor coordination, and be able to have a cooperative participation with customers to promote continuous service improvement.
 
Duties & Tasks
Manage Global It Infrastructure related but not limited to:
  • Servers and Virtualization
    • Maintain and monitor ESX Servers
    • Create, manage and monitor virtual machines.
  • Monitoring system health and maintain appropriate documentation up to date
  • Define Backup Procedures and supervise its execution.
  • Coordinate all resources assign to fulfill the primary functions
  • In addition to the primary functions, local support to special projects will be executed only by authorization of Optime Consulting CEO and/or Automation Director.
 
Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years’ experience with VMWare Virtualization technologies
  • A solid understanding of implementing hardware infrastructure that includes servers, networking, and storage components (SAN, NAS).
  • Solid System Administration skills in VMware, Windows and Linux systems.
  • Microsoft Windows internetworking and troubleshooting
    • Windows Server 2008 and 2012 platforms
  • 4 years of technical experience supporting servers in a multi segmented, routed and firewalled enterprise network using TCP/IP v4.
  • LAN/WAN networking experience, including VoIP experience is a plus
  • 4 years of technical experience supporting servers in a multi segmented, routed and firewalled enterprise network using TCP/IP v4.
  • LAN/WAN networking experience, including VoIP experience is a plus
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish Languages.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training;
  • Virtualization - VMWare vSphere – VPC6-DCV certification required.
  • AWS experience is a plus.
